Doretha Jackson made her journey into peace on March 19, 2012 home surrounded by her loving family.

She was the daughter of the late Willie and Rose Nichols.

Mrs. Jackson was born and raised in Suffolk, VA and came to the Chester area as a young lady and became a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She was previously employed at Elwyn Institute as a Dietary aid. Mrs. Jackson was predeceased by her husband Herbert Jackson, 4 siblings and her grandson Marlin Maynor.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her children Jacqueline Willis (Jerome), Yvonne Maynor (William) Deborah Jackson, Roosevelt Jackson, (Doris)1 sister Evelyn Spencer, 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren step-daughter Berta Ricks (Algie), a host of other relatives and friends.
